The Iniquities of Man

The Iniquities of Man

Life—and all its iniquities—pales only in comparison to its complexities

Can I Tell You A Secret? Reading The Iniquities of Man 2 minutes Next Tomorrow

Life

And all its iniquities

Pales only in comparison to its complexities

We as a people,

Marred by certain deficiencies

That highlight our wonts and tendencies

In an effort to escape the wrong impression, please

Allow me to explain

From birth, since infancy

My skin, my nose,

My heritage has limited me

In the home of the brave and

The land of the less than free

The Silence

Is so loud, that my eardrums bleed

silence

So deafening, I can hear the pins drop

Three

Three seconds is all it took

To criticize me

Find me guilty of all crimes

Locked away, no keys

The worst transgression

I’ve committed one atrocity

The unmitigated gall to question our hypocrisy

This thing we hold dear,

But pervert to no end, you see

A farse, this cabaret called HISTORY

Two perspectives have gone ignored

Conspicuously

I thought stories had three sides

But maybe that’s just me…

This false recollection of the past has one aim,

I believe

To ensure the powers that be

Are bolstered by our complacency

Lack of awareness of our potential

This fake decree

Of limited resources

Makes us crustaceans

Crab mentality

Keeping each other down

So vile and relentlessly

Farfetched is the notion

We’ll one day escape or flee.

To be continued.
