How it started

A random conversation on a random night in 2009 sparked a strange idea to come up with random words that start with the letter “un” and print them on different types of clothing. Why? I’m not sure. What was the name of the brand? I think it was “unique brand garments”. Why “un”?

I wish I knew.

We never printed a single shirt.

Just kidding... We definitely didn't print any shirts, but this story is far from over.

The idea

The first time I told someone about this “idea”, he pretty
much said something to me that knocked down the first domino.

Just make the shirts, then…

The plan

I ordered a sewing machine, an embroidery machine, fabric, luxury threading, bobbins, boxes, silk paper, the works. I found a shirt printing service and printed 50 shirts. I gave away every single shirt just to build awareness. To me, it was more important that people knew I finally had the items I had been talking about for so long. I needed to finally take a step forward and stop wishing for things to just happen.

The action

I was intent on discovering a way to spread my message by
using any and all forms of media I could find. I believed—then, as well as now—that
the best way to reach as many minds and hearts as possible was to impact every form
of sensory perception possible.

How it's going

I’m working every day to improve myself and my brand. I have an extensive inventory, a warehouse, a logistics system, and most importantly, some
amazing customers. In addition to that, I have more support than I ever thought
I deserved. I’m beyond thankful for my team.

I’m so passionate about what it is I’m doing, I’m still trying to find the words to describe it. There are days I don’t want to
continue, but then there are days when I can’t stop working. Needless to say, I’m
thoroughly enjoying the journey.
